Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center Awarded for Prompt Emergency Cardiac Care Initiative

The American Heart Association has presented Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center with the 2012 Mission: Lifeline STEMI Receiving Center Bronze Performance Achievement Award from the American Heart Association. The Mission: Lifeline program helps ensure prompt emergency cardiac care according to the latest AHA guidelines. The American Heart Association recognizes this hospital for achieving 85% of higher composite adherence to all Mission: Lifeline STEMI Receiving Center Performance Achievement indicators for consecutive 90-day intervals and 75% or higher compliance on all Mission: Lifeline Receiving Center quality measures to improve the quality of care for STEMI patients.
